Fractured Tales
"Happily ever after is a lie"
The Verse has been blighted. Classic fairy tales have twisted into dark horror. The Grandmother wears stolen skin. Snow White radiates corruption from her glass coffin. The Thorn Queen rewrites every story to end in tragedy. Survivors huddle in the Patchwork Hamlet while wolves plot revolution. Perfect for dark fantasy horror campaigns inspired by Neverafter, Grimm, and corrupted folklore.

📜 About The Verse
The Verse is the source of all stories, the narrative foundation of reality itself. When it was corrupted, every fairy tale twisted into darkness. Happy endings became impossible. Heroes became monsters. Victims became predators. The corruption spreads through stories, turning each tale into tragedy.
The Corruption States: Characters progress from newly fractured (just beginning to change) to adapting (accepting their new reality) to deeply corrupted (transformed but aware) to lost to blight (barely themselves anymore).
The Geography: The Whispering Woods (corrupted enchanted forest), the Gilded Kingdom (false perfection), the Above (giant's realm in clouds), the Below (cursed mines), the Thornwall (impassable barrier hiding the corruption's heart), the Crimson Market (trades in stories and names), and the desperate Patchwork Hamlet where survivors cling to normalcy.
The Question: Can the corruption be stopped? Should Snow White be awakened or kept sleeping? Will waking the Prince save or doom everything? Is the Thorn Queen a victim or villain? In Fractured Tales, there are no easy answers - only dark choices and darker consequences.
